So who is this DJ Bullet fella?
Howdy, let me introduce myself. For those who don’t know me, my name is Ryan, otherwise known as DJ Bullet and I’ve been mixing hardcore for around 8 years now. I began my DJ career way back in summer 2003 where I took my first booking. Talk about being thrown in at the deep end, I was given a 3 hour set at ‘Party in the Park’ which was a large-scale annual music festival held in Lincolnshire by an ex-member of Gary Glitter’s ‘Glitter Band’. What a great way to kick-start my career,  I was fortunate to experience what it felt like to play outside on a huge 15K sound system, something many DJ’s will never get the opportunity to do, what an experience!

I then became resident and promoter of ‘Stamina’ which was a hardcore event run in Sleaford, Lincolnshire. These were some absolutely wicked nights! Friendly people, banging 8K sound system, amazing DJ’s and MC’s, what more could you want?

After securing bookings at many smaller events I finally got a break and became a resident at Liquid Rush @ The Edge in Nottingham (Now the well-respected Ravers Reunited). Here it gave me chance to really show what I was made of. Since then I’ve played at many more exciting nights over Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and the midlands.

Some of the most memorable nights I’ve appeared at include:

Bangin’ and Kaotik @ Cleethorpes
Stamina @ The Crypt, Sleaford*
Liquid Rush @ The Edge, Nottingham*
Quake @ Cleethorpes
Raverdance @ The Duke of Wellington, Lincoln
Phazed Out / Rampage @ The Edge, Nottingham
Ravers Reunited Pre-Party @ The Emporium, Coalville
Total Eclipse @ Eclipse Nightclub, Boston
Vertigo @ Flicks Nightclub, Sleaford*
Bounce @ The Amber Lounge, Sleaford
HeadRush @ Mood Basement, Buxton, Derby

(*Residency)

Over the last few years I have also been drumming away in the studio building up an arsenal of tracks. You can find my tracks on both vinyl and digital formats. I first started to produced hardcore around 2001 using Propellerheads Reason 1.0. I then upgraded to 2.0 in 2003. From here I went on to improve both my production skills and music writing ability and in November 2004 began using SX2. Over recent times I’ve worked with many artists, both locally and UK wide. My first collaborations were with local DJ and personal friend, Samba-D on a few ‘Ravey’ style tracks which you can find at www.sambad.co.uk and www.myspace.com/sambad. For darker sounds I’ve worked with DJ Fretman with 2 absolute belters, ‘Fuck The Police’ and ‘Transmission’ which have been doing damage in the download charts! But it doesn’t stop there, I have also collaborated several times with DJ Pettruccio and engineered tracks with DJ Topvibe, DJ Destiny and DJ Tonik. In the beginning I also worked with DJ Andy Benett alongside K-Complex on another ‘Ravey’ style track, ‘Move Your Feet’ which led me to signings with the Nu Energy Collective. ‘Are U Serious?’ was my first big release for me and was released digitally and on vinyl on Kevin Energy’s Relentless Vinyl label. It also featured on the album ‘Essential Happy Hardcore’ in 2006. Since then I have had many solo releases and also remixes with the N.E.C boys, which is aaaaaall good!

So there you go, there’s a little bit about me. If you want to know more about any aspect of my music please visit the forthcoming studio page for downloads and information. Alternatively see the links page for direct label websites or email studio@dj-bullet.co.uk
